Sigur Rós frontman Jón Þór Birgisson and Alex Somers will be releasing an album under the name Riceboy Sleeps. You might have heard of them before. That's because they were featured on the Dark Was The Night compilation. The duo have been playing music together for a few years now and they're finally ready to release an album. The instrumental album will be out on July 20 in Europe via Parlophone Records. There is no word yet as to when it will be released in North America.

The nine song LP will feature Amiina and the Kopavogsdaetur choir. According to a press release, the tracks will be "played solely on acoustic instruments in Iceland and then endlessly toyed with on solar-powered laptops in a raw food commune in some far corner of Hawaii."

If you visit the band's website you'll be able to watch video to the songs All The Big Trees and Daníell in the Sea.

Tracklisting:

2. Atlas Song
3. Indian Summer
